Top news for this week: 1. China, Brazil elevate ties to forge shared future. 2. China unveiled eight major actions to support global development at G20. 3. US ban on 29 more Chinese entities over alleged "forced labor." And more...
I didn't actually read the final piece 'the positive result of spending money on eradicating poverty, not on wars' in the newsletter because it's on X and I've gone over to the other side: Bluesky Social.
But as a child of the 60s I grew up with slogans like "Make Love Not War" and China has shown what can be achieved with that philosophy - work with other nations for mutual benefit not for exploitation.
That headline, along with the earlier stories in this issue, they gives me hope that via BRICS another way is possible. What Prof, Jeffery Sachs called a Better Way.
Thank you Jingjing, keep up the good work.
P.S. That image of Xinjiang is awesome. I never imagined anything like that. I gotta get myself to China.
Thank you Ms. Li. I subscribed to your newsletter because it is one of my sources as an alternative to the corrupt Western media. Keep up the good work !
Reading the piece on China - Brazilia ties reminded me of a great post from Ben Norton yesterday on his Geopolitical Report site: "China builds $3.5 billion mega-port in Peru; US responds offering 40-year-old trains"
Yes! And that also reminds me of the interview I did with a Zambian scholar last year.
This is what she said: "The Vice President of the U.S. came to Zambia, landed at a Chinese-built airport in Zambia, moved on a Chinese-built road in Zambia. The venue of this summit (Summit for Democracy) was actually a gift to Zambia by the Chinese government, And the key agenda of the summit was to curb Africa's cooperation with China."
Stick with the West, they will destroy you, the climate won't.
The Fake "climate change" narrative is merely part of Western hegemony and an attempt to control other countries.
If you believe the faux science of climate change and Not the True science in this regard, then you and the G7 nations deserve your own destruction at the hands of their governments.

Says it all really.

It horrifies me that the possible future of all humanity could be in the hands of delusional psychopaths.
I could possibly add more to that description.
The future for all countries who wish to escape G7 hegemony.
All so shiny and wonderful for the future.
However, climate change.
Climate change what???
